Hello, my name is andrew alvarez.

i am originally from Rochester, ny but now lay low in Brooklyn. I have been working in film/video production since 2013 where I started as a photographer’s assistant. Since then I have worked for complex media, wheelhouse creative, and currently the criterion collection. With my work at wheelhouse creative working with clients such as a24, oscilloscope laboratories, Tribeca Film Festival, cohen media group, etc…, i was able to round my skills in production and post production. With the guidance of colleagues I was able to learn how to camera op, grip/gaff, color grade, edit, and encode. The pursuit of these skills landed me an Opportunity at the Criterion collection. since I’ve started there, I have learned so much and found an interesting new hobby in deinterlacing and upressing sd footage. Working with archival footage is very exciting at times due to the content and I look forward to diving in more of these practices.Recently I moved over to Company 3 as a color assistant. i am looking forward to working with new up and coming material.

whEN i AM NOT WORKING, I AM USUALLY MAKING MUSIC OR SPENDING MORE TIME ON FILM IN SOME CAPACITY. rECENTLY I HAVE MADE A HANDFUL OF NO BUDGET SHORTS, WHICH ARE MY FAVORITE TO MAKE. alONG WITH THAT i HAVE JOINED A FEW BANDS AND HAD THE CHANCE TO MAKE SOME VISUALS TO OUR MUSIC. tHIS WEBSITE IS MORE DEVOTED TO MY HOBBIES THAN MY WORK BUT DIVE IN AND i HOPE YOU ENJOY!

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!
